We are happy to report that the conservation work has started on the Catholic Church on the hill.
The lovely man Rod Burton our heritage builder, assisted by HEAC volunteers couldn't wait to get on with the job with having re-sealed the roof and repaired the rotted sections of the floor beams we are well and truly on our way to the goal.
|Blue sky unfolded and not a rain cloud in site. All hands on deck as the scaffolding is unloaded and erected, to start the first job being the very steep roof.|
|Excavation carried out by the Department of Environment and Climate Change||.|
|Sealing up the holes from the wildlife|
|Rob was like a huntsman spider climbing all over the roof, not for the faint hearted. A huge effort in not easy circumstances.|
